One More Week

Wow this week went by too fast. I would love to say that I was completely satisfied with my paper but I feel it could have been done so much better. I know I am drained after having two papers to do. This class has been a big eye-opener for me in learning about citations and refrences. I will miss our seminars that is for sure.
About my wonderful weekend. It was my first trip to Los Angeles since my car accident day after Easter. My oldest daughter broke her leg two days before I was to head home. On top of that my granddaughter went into labor early. Talk about exciting. I had planned to do work on my papers over the weekend but had to wait until I got home Monday afternoon. Well, better post this before it is too late!! Good luck to everyone and see you all in DB.

4th Of July

Just wanted to wish everyone a safe and happy 4th of July. We will be doing the all American barbecue. No fireworks as my dog and her daughter are not fond of louds booms and bangs.
I will write more on here tomorrow. Hopefully catch up with my blogging!!

This week of reading of all the research done by the whole class has been exciting. I do appreciate the critiquing done on mine. It always helps to have extra eyes looking over the work. I know I have a tendency to not see what is misspelled or written grammatically wrong.
I have been so busy trying to keep up with the rewriting and my other class having two exams that I almost forgot my Blog!!! Procrastination in some things but not in all is a theme I seem to be going by lately and that is not good. Like buying a new battery for my car and getting the oil change done. If not for my brother dragging me out of the house I would not have gotten those done. My thought was, the car isn't going anywhere right now anyway.
I have found researching two papers fun and not fun. Why? Because I get so into one that I hate having to lay it aside and work on anything else. And trying to get a good thesis for one is hard enough but two?? Haha... Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful week. See you all in seminar tomorrow.

This week totally got away from me. Didn't help having what I call "episodes" all week. I really hoped for a couple extra days tucked in this week...no such luck!! Let's just hope our drafts all make the grade. I know from just reading everyone's outlines that there are going to be some awesome papers. For me I am more worried about my citations than anything else.
At the end of this term I am taking a trip to Pasadena to celebrate my oldest great-grandson's 7th birthday. AND to greet my newest great-grandson who is due the end of this month. The nice thing will be that all my essays will be done...better yet that I get a good grade on them. I love the idea of family and with only two daughters (the least in my family) I have the largest with grand children and great-grandchildren.

Well, this is the end of Unit 5. A very short week. Having fun taking turns between two outlines for separate classes, I just hope I send the right one to the right professor!!!
My greatgrandson is home now. He will have a tough life ahead but he is a fighter and strong every other way. Myself, I finally have my car ready to be able to take trips up to Los Angeles to visit the rest of the crew. I miss those trips.
This research has taught me some things I didn't realize about eating disorders. I have been trying some of the other techniques to keep notes on as I go along. I really wished I had Professor for my Comp I class, not to mention a lot of my classmates have been very good with their constructive critiquing on the DB.
Well, let's hope this coming week will be longer?? Hahaha..that way we all get our drafts and outlines done and turned in on time.

It is nearing the end of week 4!! Where did the time go? I really have learned a lot from this section on citations. More than in Comp 1. I wish everyone luck in their research paper. I know that there are a few in my Anatomy & Physiology class and we have papers due there as well. Like I keep saying I just hope I don't get them mixed up!!
I did get me a car and have it registered...needed new tires and of course next is a stereo system. Radios are fine but I am not fond of commercials.

Well, this week has been a full one. Researching for two papers and writing a thesis. I just think for me the thesis is the hardest. The topic was easy for me it was something that was interesting enough to research in depth over. I am learning a lot more from this class than Comp 1 that is for sure.
Also, for this week finally got my insurance check for my car and can officially go car shopping. It is not fun living in an area like San Diego and not own a vehicle. Living on the outskirts makes it less fun.
The only bad part of this week is that I got a call that my youngest great grandchild had a seizure and was in critical condition. He is not quite 1 yearold and has had open heart surgery to close two holes in his heart and on top of that has asthma and DeGeorge syndrome. But he is a fighter.
